[Original form] Tiger orchid, an epiphyte. The pseudobulb is thick, oblong and slightly flat. The leaves are clustered with 7-8 pieces, wide-banded, thinly leathery, up to 90cm long, usually 2-3cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, opposite and mutually embracing at the base, and entire. The pedicel is nearly erect, often shorter than the leaves, with 6-12 or more flowers sparsely distributed; the bracts are about 5mm long; the pedicel including the ovary is about 4cm long; the flowers are light yellow-green, with a slight osmanthus fragrance; the middle sepals are nearly oblong, 4.5-6cm long, 1.2-1.8cm wide, yellow-green, with a purple-brown halo at the base on the back; the lateral sepals are obliquely oblong and slightly narrow; the petals are narrower than the sepals, 5-12mm wide, light yellow-green, with small purple-red spots at the base; the lip is slightly short-clawed, 3-lobed, the lateral lobes are erect, with purple-red stripes, the middle lobe is slightly reflexed, the edges are wavy, the upper surface of the lip disc is covered with short soft hairs, and the 2 pleats are parallel and hairy; the column is very long, 3-4.2cm long. Flowering period is February to March.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows on rocks under forests on hillsides or epiphytically on trees.

【Functions and indications】Relieves cough and resolves phlegm; disperses blood stasis and reduces swelling; stops bleeding. It is used for lung heat cough, tuberculosis, pneumonia, tracheitis, wheezing and coughing, fractures and tendon injuries, rheumatic pain, sores, boils and swellings.
