[Original form] Myna (Compendium of Materia Medica) is about 25 cm long. The beak is pointed and straight, creamy yellow in color, and the iris is orange-yellow. The frontal feathers stand on the base of the beak, like a crown. The whole body is almost pure black; the top of the head, cheeks, nape and ear feathers have a green metallic luster, and each feather is spear-shaped; the rest of the upper body is not as bright as the head, and is decorated with brown. The wings are round, and the tips of the primary coverts and the base of the primary flight feathers are white, forming a distinct white wing spot that is visible when flying and forms an "eight" shape. The tail is short and flat, with black tail feathers; except for the central tail feathers, all have white feather tips. The underparts are dark gray-black, with light gray or brown-gray around the anus; the undertail coverts are black with white tips. The feet are long and strong, with yellow tarsus.

[Habitat distribution] Commonly found in villages, gardens and edges of forests on the plains. The male bird sings generally, and the cage training can be effective as human speech. Distributed in South China and Southwest my country.
