[Source] Medicinal material source: The leaves of the plant Corallaria obtusifolia of the Cornaceae family.

[Original form] Coral revolute, evergreen shrub or small tree, 1-4m high. The petiole is 1-3cm long and covered with rough hairs; the leaf blade is thick papery, rarely leathery, often obcordate or obovate, 8-14cm long, 4.5-8cm wide, truncate or obcordate at the apex, with an acute tail 1.5-2cm long, narrow cuneate at the base, with concave lateral veins above and protruding below, and margins with notched and coarse serrations. The male inflorescence is a racemose panicle, terminal, 8-9cm, with sparse flowers, purple-red, petals with pointed tails at the tip, and thick filaments; the female inflorescence is short conical, 1.5-2.5cm long, and the petals are close to the male petals. The fruit is densely packed, oval, about 1.2 cm long and 7 mm in diameter. The flowering period is March-April, and the fruit ripening period is after November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: It often grows on hillsides or mountain limbs in shrub forests or on the sides of ditches at an altitude of 900-2000m.

【Functions and indications】Promote blood circulation and regulate menstruation; detoxify and reduce swelling. Mainly used for dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, traumatic injury, burns caused by water or fire

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoction, 6-15g. For external use: take appropriate amount and mash it for application.
