[Original form] Yaleriana is a perennial herb, 15-30cm tall. The rhizome is thick. The basal leaves are spoon-shaped to oblanceolate, 5-15cm long, 8-40mm wide, pointed at the apex, gradually narrowed at the base, entire, with parallel veins. The stem leaves are oblanceolate, 2-3cm long, about 6mm wide, and clasping the stem at the base. The raceme is terminal, bractless, with 5-20 flowers, and the pedicel is 5-17mm long; there are 6 tepals, white to pink, obovate-oblong, 8-12mm long, and persistent; there are 6 stamens, and the filaments are about 1.5 times as long as the tepals, the anthers are horseshoe-shaped, dorsally attached, and merged into 1 chamber; the ovary is nearly spherical, 3-lobed at the apex, about 2.5mm in diameter, the style is 12-18mm long, and is obviously higher than the stamens in the fruiting period, and the stigma is capitulate and slightly 3-lobed. The capsule is obovate, 3-cleft at the apex, about 5mm in diameter, and dehiscent at the dorsum of the chamber; the seeds are thin fusiform, with long tails at both ends, and the length of the tails is about 4mm. The flowering period is March-April, and the fruiting period is May-June. [Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows on high mountain slopes, under forests, in thickets or on cliffs.
