[Original morphology] Yunnan crown lip flower, upright herb, 1-2m high. The stem is quadrangular, covered with flat soft hairs and inverted small hairs that are opposite; the petiole is 1.5-4cm long and covered with strigosus; the leaf blade is triangular-ovate, 2.5-9cm long, 2-7.5cm wide, with an acute-long-pointed tip, a broad cuneate or nearly cordate base, coarsely serrated margins, and covered with strigosus on both sides. The dichotomous cymes are axillary or form terminal panicles; the bracts are small, linear, about 2-3mm long; the calyx is bell-shaped, about 3mm long, densely covered with glandular hairs on the outside, with 5 calyx teeth, nearly equal, and enlarged when fruiting; the corona is purple or brown, about 1.5cm long, glabrous, the upper lip is helmet-shaped, slightly concave at the apex, the lower lip is slightly shorter, 3-lobed at the apex, the middle lobe is narrowly tongue-shaped, and the lateral lobes are ovate; the stamens are 4, nearly equal in length, almost not exposed, and the anthers are 2-chambered; the ovary is 4-lobed, glabrous, the style is glabrous, and the stigma is unequally lobed; the edge of the disk is slightly undulating. The nutlets are oval-triangular and dark brown. The flowering period is from October to February of the following year, and the fruiting period is from December to March of the following year.
