[Original form] Perennial herb, about 65cm long. The stem is gradually ascending, with prostrate roots at the bottom and long soft hairs below the top. Leaves are alternate; petioles are 1.5-2mm long; stipules are large and broadly lanceolate; leaf blades are obliquely obovate or broadly oblanceolate, 6.5-9cm long, 2.5-3.8cm wide, with abrupt or acuminate apex, obtuse base on the narrow side, broadly auriculate, with small teeth or teeth above the base of the margin, sparsely strigose above, short pubescent below, and nearly punctate or short strips of stalactites; semi-free-base three-veined, midrib and lateral veins are brown, sunken above, raised below, with 3-4 lateral veins on the narrow side and 4 on the broad side. Male inflorescence solitary in leaf axils, peduncle up to 1m long; receptacle inconspicuous; 6 bracts, covered with stalactites, 2 outer ones larger, 4 inner ones smaller, boat-shaped and square; bracteoles numerous, apex truncated. Male flowers have 4 tepals, fused at base; 4 stamens; small reduced pistil. Flowering period is June.
