Symptoms of Asarum poisoning

If you also experience chest tightness, shortness of breath, restlessness, and accelerated heartbeat, it is very likely a reaction to asarum poisoning. You should go to the hospital as soon as possible for detoxification, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous.

2. If it is pure natural Asarum that has not been processed, it is poisonous, but the toxicity is not very high. Therefore, there are strict restrictions on its clinical use. If taken internally, it should not exceed 3 grams. Moreover, after being decocted, the toxicity of Asarum will be greatly reduced, so it will not cause poisoning. The toxic components in Asarum mainly act on the human central nervous system and also have an impact on the respiratory system. If you take too much Asarum, you will become unconscious and may even die from respiratory paralysis.

How to deal with asarum poisoning

If you accidentally take more than 20 grams of asarum at one time, of course not the asarum alone, but the asarum after boiling, which will also contain some toxicity. If you feel a headache or general tension, you must induce vomiting in time and then take egg white, milk or antidote. You can also detoxify through infusion. Remember to add vitamin C to the infusion. If symptoms such as convulsions and spasms occur, you can take tranquilizer pills or Angong Niuhuang pills. If Chinese medicine is used for treatment, the effect may not be very obvious and the effect may be slow to appear. If urinary retention occurs, catheterization can be performed or diazepam can be taken.
