【Original form】Plant height 50-150cm. The rhizome is thick and horizontal, and together with the base of the petiole, is densely covered with bright brown, lanceolate scales with fine teeth on the edges. Leaves are subspermous; glabrous, with petioles 30-50cm long and smooth upwards; leaf blades are triangular, about 60-80cm long and wide, with acuminate tips and pinnates, four or five pinnates below the tip; pinnae have long petioles, with the largest pair at the base, 20-30cm long, 12-18cm wide, and the middle pinnae gradually become smaller; pinnae have short petioles; the terminal segments are often split into two into sharp teeth of unequal length. There are numerous sori, growing at the base of the forked veinlets in the upper part, with one on each tooth along the terminal lobe; the sori lid is cup-shaped, truncated at the apex, and has a golden luster.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: epiphytic on tree trunks or rocks in valley forests at an altitude of 600-700m.

【Properties】 1. Characteristic identification: The rhizome is cylindrical, usually twisted, 4-15cm long and about 1cm in diameter. The surface is reddish brown to brown, with obvious longitudinal grooves and rounded protruding leaf base scars, and residual yellow-brown scales. It is hard and not easy to break.
