[Source] Medicinal material source: The root of the Umbelliferae plant.

[Original form] Perennial herb, 0.6-1m tall. Root oblong, light brown. The whole plant is hairy, the stem is grooved, hollow, and has many branches at the top. The basal leaves are petiolate, 3.5-7cm long, with a long and wide leaf sheath at the base; the leaf blades are up to 20cm long, one to two times pinnately divided, with 3-4 pairs of lobes each time, obliquely ovate, and the lower ones have short petioles; the lobes are ovate-lanceolate, the lowest pair is completely divided, with irregular serrations on the edges, and pubescent on the back; the stem leaves are deeply pinnately divided tripinnately, sessile, and the upper leaves gradually become simpler. Compound umbels terminal and lateral; no bracts; rays unequal in length, pubescent; bracteoles linear, pubescent; calyx teeth small; petals white, dimorphic; style nearly erect. The fruit is oval or nearly round, smooth, with 4 grooves on the back, each groove has an oil tube, its length is half of the fruit, and there are 2 oil tubes on the surface. Flowering period is August-September.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown under valley shrubs or in mountain grass at an altitude of 1900-3200m.

【Functions and indications】Dispel wind and dampness; reduce swelling and relieve pain. Indications: arthralgia caused by wind, cold and dampness; soreness of waist and knees; cramps in limbs; swelling and pain caused by falls
