[Original morphology] Guizhou Polygala is a perennial herb or dwarf subshrub. 5-10cm high, stem cylindrical with white short hairs. Leaves are alternate; petioles are about 6mm long and slightly winged; leaves are papery, elliptic-oblanceolate to spatulate, 1-1.5cm long, 5-8mm wide, obtuse at the apex with a short tip, base cuneate and decurrent, green above, with white short bristles on the margin, light green below, slightly rough, entire, main vein slightly concave above, raised below, with 2-3 pairs of lateral veins. The raceme is terminal, very short, with several flowers; the flowers are large, white or light green and white, 1.2-1.5cm long, covered with white short soft hairs; there are 5 sepals, which fall off after flowering, 3 outer sepals are small, the middle one is cucullate, and the 2 inner sepals are large, petal-shaped, with claws at the base; there are 3 petals, the keel is about 1.2mm long, with 4 linear cockscomb-shaped appendages on the top back, and the lateral petals are fused with the keel below 2/3; there are 8 stamens, and the filaments are fused into a sheath below 3/4 and attached to the petals, the anthers are cracked at the top hole, and there is a connective; the ovary is winged, with a short stalk and annular disk at the base, the stigma is 2-lobed, the upper lobe is small, the lower lobe is large, and the stigma is born inside the lobe. No fruit seen.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in forests and mountaintop grasslands at an altitude of 1500-1900m.
