The panicles are axillary and densely covered with rusty hairs; the flowers are yellow; the calyx is broadly bell-shaped, about 1 cm long, 5-lobed, pubescent on the outside and glabrous on the inside, with lobes lanceolate, acute at the apex, about 6 mm long, and spreading outward; the androgynophore of the male flower is curved, glabrous, with 10 anthers; the ovary of the female flower is spherical, with a style curved downward and covered with hairs. The follicles are oblong, 3-5cm long, with a short beak at the tip, and are densely covered with rusty long hairs inside and out. Seeds oblong, black. The flowering period is February, and the fruiting period is April-May.
