[Source] It is the root bark of Tilia oemeiensis, a plant of the Oak family.

[Original form] Deciduous tree, about 10 meters high. Buds ovate, bud scales acute or blunt. Simple leaves are alternate; rectangular or oblong-ovate, 9-11 cm long, 4-7 cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, obliquely rounded at the base, entire, densely covered with gray star-shaped felt hairs when young; petiole 2-3 cm long. Inflorescence, 9 to 12 flowers; bracts linear-rectangular, 14 to 16 cm long, 2 to 2.2 cm wide, densely covered with stellate felts on the underside; 5 sepals, narrowly triangular, covered with gray felts on the outside and long soft hairs on the inside; 5 petals, yellow, ovate-lanceolate; many stamens, 5 staminodes, petal-shaped; ovary obovate, covered with dense gray felts, stigma 5-lobed. The fruit is obovate and covered with gray star-shaped felt hairs. Flowering period is July. The fruit ripens in October.

【Habitat distribution】Grows in forests in mid-mountain areas. Distributed in Sichuan and other places.

[Nature and flavor] Bitter and pungent, cool in nature, non-toxic.

【Functions and indications】Promotes the circulation of qi. Treat injuries from falls and five types of tuberculosis and seven types of injuries.

[Usage and Dosage] For internal use: stew meat, 0.5-1 tael; or soak in wine.
