[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole plant of Hypericum multiflorum of the Garcinia family.

[Original form] Hypericum multi-stamenum is an evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub, up to 2m tall. The twigs are reddish brown, cylindrical, and have no longitudinal ridges. Simple leaves are opposite; almost sessile; leaf blades are ovate to ovate-rectangular, 3-8cm long, obtuse or slightly pointed at the apex, dark green above and glaucous below. The flowers are cup-shaped, relatively large, about 5 cm in diameter; several flowers are clustered; there are 5 sepals, which are relatively large, obovate, and obtuse at the apex; there are 5 petals, which are yellow or golden yellow, broadly obovate; there are many stamens, about 1/4-3/8 of the length of the petals, fused into bundles, with 60-80 stamens in each bundle; the ovary is superior, and the style is 1/5-1/2 of the length of the ovary, slightly longer than the stamens, and the apex is recurved. Capsule broadly oval, grooved. The flowering period is from April to July, and the fruiting period is from September to October.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows in mountain thickets or at the edge of forests.
