Shouwu is something we often hear about, so what exactly is Shouwu? Shouwu is actually the product of the dried root of Polygonum multiflorum, so it is also called Polygonum multiflorum. We usually use the tubers of Polygonum multiflorum as medicine. There are both wild Polygonum multiflorum and domestic Polygonum multiflorum, but the growth rate of wild Polygonum multiflorum is extremely slow and the price is higher than that of domestic Polygonum multiflorum. The distribution area of Polygonum multiflorum in my country is relatively wide, from north to south and from west to east. The most famous origin of wild Polygonum multiflorum is Songshan Mountain. The Polygonum multiflorum produced here is also the famous Songshan Polygonum multiflorum. As a herb, the root tubers of Polygonum multiflorum are particularly large. Functions and indications [1]: Nourishes blood and yin; moistens the intestines and promotes bowel movements; stops malaria; dispels wind; and detoxifies. Take the Polygonum multiflorum pieces and pour them into a basin, mix them with black bean juice and rice wine, put them in a jar or suitable container, seal it, place it in a pot of water, stew it until the juice is absorbed, take it out and dry it. (For every 100 jin of Polygonum multiflorum pieces, use 10 jin of black beans and 25 jin of rice wine. Method of making black bean juice: take 10 jin of black beans, add water and boil for about 4 hours, boil about 15 jin of juice, add water to the bean dregs and boil for about 3 hours, boil about 10 jin of juice, and boil about 25 jin of juice in total for two times). As a traditional Chinese medicine, Polygonum multiflorum has many functions. In addition to the functions mentioned above, Polygonum multiflorum also has the function of promoting hair growth and darkening hair. Therefore, we often hear that some people take Polygonum multiflorum to make their hair darker and shinier. In addition, while taking Polygonum multiflorum, we must be careful not to eat pork, radish, blood and other iron-containing foods, and we must eat processed Polygonum multiflorum. Unprocessed Polygonum multiflorum is poisonous and must be taken with caution. |
