When the decoction was administered orally at 80 g/kg or intraperitoneally at 60 g/kg, rabbits became listless and motionless, but recovered after 3-4 hours. Dogs given 120g/kg orally or 30g/kg by intraperitoneal injection quickly developed vomiting, weakness in the limbs, and lethargy, and fully recovered after 2-3 days. The LD50 of decoction in mice ip is 12.8g/kg. The LD50 of tincture in mice ip is 4.7g/kg.
