Flower beans are a plant of the genus Flower Bean of the legume family, also known as licorice, shrimp grass, and Yulang umbrella. They are mainly distributed in Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan and other southern China regions. Folk customs have used it as a nourishing and health-preserving food for hundreds of years, either by taking the roots or boiling the branches and roots. The tuber of the green plant Glycyrrhiza uralensis of the Lamiaceae family is used as medicine. Sweet, bitter, cool in nature. The efficacy of licorice 1. Clear away heat and remove fire, promote body fluid and quench thirst, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. It can cure colds, fever, dry mouth, tonsillitis, tonsillitis, tracheitis, whooping cough, lung abscess, hemoptysis, hemorrhoidal blood, and bruises. 2. Treat various infectious diseases such as bile duct infection, uterine wall and adnexitis, etc. Producing vaccines with medicinal value 1. Effects on the central nervous system: Nandina alkaloids and Nandinoline can produce sedative-like anesthetic effects on cold-blooded animals (frogs); for warm-blooded animals (mice, dogs), a small amount can cause mild anesthesia, and a large amount can cause convulsions (clonic and tonic). Dogs may experience drooling, nausea, fecal incontinence, etc. The reflexes of the spinal nerves are enhanced, and eventually they fall into numbness. The effect of Nandinaline is weaker than that of Nandina domestica. 2. Effects on the endocrine system: Nandina domestica and Nandinoline both have cardiotonic effects. It has a direct anesthetic effect on paraffin-sectioned frog and rabbit hearts, which cannot be affected by atropine. Convolvulus toxicum has a certain anti-drug effect, followed by adrenaline. There are different reports on the effect of Nandina domestica on blood vessels. Some say it can expand the perfusion of the lower limbs of toads, but there are also reports that it has no significant effect on the perfusion of blood vessels of toads or rabbits. This may be because the flavonoids mentioned are all adverse substances. Nandinoline had no effect on paraffin sections of rabbit ears or frog lower limb blood vessels. Intravenous injection of the drug to rabbits can cause a drop in blood pressure, which is caused by cardiac inhibition and eventually leads to death from cardiac paralysis. 3. Effect on smooth muscle: Nandina domestica can increase the tension of the guinea pig's intestinal tract, but the effect on the paraffin section of the intestine is the opposite: a small amount of excitement in the uterus of the rabbit, a lot of numbness. Nandolin has a small amount of stimulation and a large amount of inhibition on paraffin-embedded rabbit intestines and uterus, and dog intestines; on conditioned rabbit intestines and uterus, it only has a stimulating effect (a short-term inhibition can be seen at the beginning), and the intensity increases with the dosage; this effect is at both the peripheral nerve and muscle levels. 4. Other effects: Nandina domestica and Nandinoline have an immediate numbing effect on skeletal muscle, which is different from curare. Initially, it was reported that it had a local anesthetic effect, but this was denied. The two flavonoids had an inhibitory or numbing effect on the respiratory nerve center. Some people have proposed that Nandina domestica has a sedative-like phenanthrene structure, which has a stronger effect on the central nervous system; Nandina domestica has a protoberberine-like structure and is a prototoxin, which has a stronger effect on the heart and skeletal muscle, but a weaker effect on the central nervous system. The flavonoids proposed earlier are all mixed alkalis, so the effects are relatively complex. O-Hydroxynandinoline can excite the central nervous system, causing hyperactivity of the reflex surface and muscle spasms, and has an inhibitory effect on paraffin sections and in vivo frogs. The median lethal dose for mice is 100-150 Mg/kg. |
