Pangolin is a mammal with very hard scales on its body, so when it encounters danger, it will curl up into a ball. Pangolin is also a traditional Chinese medicine. It can promote menstruation and lactation, remove blood stasis and resolve nodules, and stop bleeding when used externally. It can also be used to treat diseases such as chronic hepatitis and acute jaundice. The first function is to promote menstruation and lactation. When women experience amenorrhea, they can mix 6 grams of Dijiazhu powder with rice wine, take it in 3 doses, and stop taking it when menstruation comes. As for the treatment of postpartum milk obstruction, take 10 grams of Paojia tablets, 10 grams of Vaccaria segetalis, 6 grams of Tongcao, and 10 grams of Angelica sinensis, decocted in water and taken. There is a folk saying: "Pangolins are not good for the king, but women who eat them will have a constant flow of milk." The second function of pangolin is to remove blood stasis and relieve nodules. Specifically, pangolins can be used to treat injuries, swollen joints, flank pain, hemiplegia, various swollen lymph nodes, and tumor masses (including various cancers). In order to increase the medicinal effect, it should be used together with peach kernel, Trillium, Curcuma, Salvia miltiorrhiza, turtle shell, etc. When prescribing, specific additions or subtractions should be made based on the severity of the disease and the strength of the physical condition. The third function of pangolin is to eliminate carbuncles and discharge pus. "Medical Records of Combining Chinese and Western Medicine" says: "Pangolin has a light taste and a neutral nature, with a fishy smell and a moving smell. Its moving nature is so profound that it can clear up the internal organs, penetrate the meridians, and reach the joints. It can open up all blood clots and blood accumulation. Use it to treat carbuncles, so feel free to use it and you will see the effect immediately." When treating carbuncle without head, take 30 grams of pangolin slices, roast them until they are scorched, grind them into fine powder, take 3 grams each time, mix with hot wine and drink; if the sore has broken, add wax gourd vine to the unaffected area; if the sore is ulcerated, add water and apply it. It can be applied to all kinds of boils and swellings. The fourth function of pangolin is external hemostasis. When used to stop bleeding, take clean pangolin slices, place them in heated vegetable oil, fry them until they turn yellow (do not overcook), dry them in the sun or allow them to evaporate naturally to remove the oil, then grind them into extremely fine powder, divide them into high-temperature resistant bottles, sterilize them under high pressure, and then dry them in an oven to obtain pangolin hemostatic powder. When using, quickly and evenly sprinkle the hemostatic agent on the bleeding area and gently apply pressure to bandage it. In addition, modern medicine has proven that pangolins can also be used to treat acute icteric, non-icteric hepatitis and chronic hepatitis. Place pangolin slices in heated coarse sand, fry until golden, grind into powder, then mix 100 grams of flour with water, wrap the ground pangolin powder in the mixed flour to make a cake, bake in a pan, then bake over charcoal fire until charcoal is formed inside and outside, take out, cool, grind into fine powder, add appropriate amount of brown sugar and mix well. Take orally 10 grams each time, twice a day. |
