1. Prunella vulgaris: This product is the dried fruit spike of the dicotyledonous plant Prunella vulgaris of the Lamiaceae family. Harvest, remove impurities and dry in the sun. There are 2 opposite bracts, which are fan-shaped, with a pointed tip and obvious veins, and white hairs on the outer surface. There are 3 flowers in each bract, most of the corollas have fallen off, the persistent calyx is two-lipped, containing 4 small nuts, which are oval, brown, and have white protrusions at the tip. It is light and crispy, with a slight fragrance and a light taste. The best ones are purple-brown in color and have large ears.

Prunella vulgaris has a significant diuretic effect, and its active ingredients are inorganic salts and ursolic acid.

4. Antibacterial

In vitro experiments using Prunella vulgaris showed inhibitory effects on Shigella dysenteriae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and hemolytic Streptococcus.

5. Blood pressure reduction

In animal experiments, injection of total inorganic salts from a decoction of Prunella Vulgaris caused a drop in blood pressure in rabbits. Clinical observations show that Prunella Vulgaris can lower blood pressure and alleviate accompanying symptoms in patients with hypertension.

6. Anti-tumor

Preliminary experiments have confirmed that Prunella Vulgaris can inhibit the growth of certain transplanted tumors in animals (such as cervical cancer in mice).
