What are the effects and functions of wind tail grass?

Windtail grass has a good effect of clearing heat and dampness, cooling blood and detoxifying, but we all know that if we want to better exert these medicinal effects, we must also pay attention to the combination of other medicinal materials. 1. Medicinal properties: bitter and cold. It enters the liver, stomach, lung, large intestine and bladder meridians.

2. Efficacy: Detoxification and anti-cancer, clearing away heat and dampness, cooling blood and stopping bleeding.

3. Pharmacological action: (1) It has an inhibitory effect on transplanted mouse sarcoma S-180 and other tumors in animals. (2) The decoction has an inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic Streptococcus, Shigella flexneri, and Salmonella typhi. (3) In vitro experiments showed that it had an antibacterial effect on human tuberculosis bacteria.

4. Modern medicinal use: (1) Anti-cancer and anti-toxic, used for cancer tumors:

a. Lung cancer: decocted in water and taken orally, take 30g each of Celosia argentea and Scutellaria barbata, 15g each of Hu Mu and Eggplant. Continuing to take it can stop symptoms such as coughing, bloody sputum, chest pain, and the shadows on X-ray examination will disappear.

b. Gastric cancer: 30g of Colletotrichum argenteae, 20g each of Radix Scutellariae and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, 10g each of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Powdered Sand Bull Worm, and Placenta. Grind them into fine powder together. Take 9g each time, 3 times a day. It can reduce the size of the tumor, stop bleeding and relieve gastrointestinal symptoms.

c. Rectal cancer: 30g each of Celosia argentea and Dioscorea bulbifera, 15g each of Aquilegia japonica root, Vitis vinifera root, Fleabane, Scutellaria barbata, and Lobelia chinensis, 60g of Pyrus truncatula root, decocted in water, taken in the morning and evening, 1 dose per day. It can stop diarrhea and gradually eliminate tumors.

d. Choriocarcinoma: 60 grams of chicken claw grass and water bay root, 1 sunflower disk, all fresh, decocted in water, 1 dose per day. Continuous use can stop vaginal bleeding, show no abnormalities in the uterus and its appendages, and turn urine pregnancy test negative.

(2) Eliminate heat and dampness: Used for damp-heat inflammation: For acute hepatitis, decoct 30 grams each of chicken claw grass, Oxalis sorrel, and wire grass in water. It can also treat icteric infectious hepatitis.

(3) Cooling blood and stopping bleeding: For blood-heat bleeding: Boil 30g of Codonopsis pilosula and 15g of Cirsium japonicum in water twice and take it in divided doses.
