When I was in college, I heard a rumor that people who work in certain professions are more likely to get certain diseases. For example, the chance of getting cancer if you work in a cancer hospital is much higher than if you work in other hospitals. I still don’t know if it’s appropriate to say this, but I think it’s quite interesting. The person who first told me this would give examples to prove that his point of view was correct, and would say for example that someone in the oncology department died of cancer. Okay, I believe it. My teacher's teacher and my teacher's father was a big name in hepatology. He died of liver disease. He had bile duct cancer. Don’t say that bile duct cancer is not a liver disease. My teacher’s teacher is an expert on liver disease. Of course, he is also very familiar with the treatment of liver disease and has a good understanding of the medication for liver disease, so I also learned some knowledge about the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of liver disease. Traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes syndrome differentiation and treatment, but it also emphasizes the use of the right medicine for the disease. For example, some medicines are commonly used to treat kidney disease, some medicines are commonly used to treat eye diseases, and so on. Some commonly used medicines for treating liver diseases include Artemisia capillaris, Rhizoma Cyperi, etc. Let’s talk about Tian Jihuang today. The Zhuang ethnic minority in China has a festival called Medicine Master Day, which is established to commemorate the Zhuang Medicine King. The Zhuang Medicine King is regarded as the God of Medicine. The Zhuang people believe that he discovered medicinal herbs, cured people's diseases, and taught people the knowledge of planting, collecting and curing herbs. Therefore, you can still see Medicine King Temples in the ancient villages of the Zhuang ethnic group. Every year on the Dragon Boat Festival in May, people worship the Medicine King and collect herbs to prevent diseases. During this festival, the Zhuang people return to the mountains to collect Chinese tallow tree, radix tianjiensis, calabash tea, and sedge to boil water for bathing. It is believed that this will make the skin smooth and prevent scabies. The origin of Tianjihuang is very rich. It is produced in the Yangtze River area and southern regions, so it has many aliases, such as ground ear grass, turtledove nest, sparrow tongue grass, snake check mouth, gaspalm grass, waterfall grass, seven-inch gold, a piece of incense, golden key, Red Boy, Cunjin grass, field chrysanthemum, shazi grass, bright grass, mangke grass, small kingbuliuxing, fine-leaved yellow, Guanyin lotus, subduing dragon grass, seven-story tower, earth windproof, small ingot grass, yellow flower, Hexiaqi, ear digging grass, small Tianjihuang, small resurrection, small ant medicine, small opposite leaf grass, eight Vajra grass, snake grass, opposite leaf grass. Radix Paniculatae has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, detoxifying, dispersing blood stasis and reducing swelling. It is commonly used to treat damp-heat jaundice, diarrhea, dysentery, intestinal carbuncle, carbuncle, furuncle, swelling and poison, milk moth, mouth ulcer, red and swollen eyes, snake bites, traumatic injuries and other diseases. This medicine is relatively niche and not many people use it, so it is not included in the latest pharmacopoeia, but it is indeed a very good medicine for treating liver disease. Modern scientific research believes that the three flavonoid compounds in Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, namely, isoquercetin, quercetin and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae glycosides, all have the effects of protecting the liver and relieving jaundice. Tianjihuang has many uses. Here are a few external uses. For treating carbuncle and all kinds of positive swelling and infection: take an appropriate amount of fresh Rhizoma Coptidis, add a few grains of salt and mash them together. Apply to the affected area. Yellow water will seep out and the area will gradually heal. To treat mastitis: take appropriate amount of fresh Rhizoma Cibotii, mash it and apply it to the affected area. To treat unknown swelling and infection: mash the yellow leaves of Tianji, add wine and apply to the affected area. |
