If you want to clear away heat and detoxify, look for Chinese medicine, but don't forget this

There seem to be many stories about ylang-ylang. For example, to describe something that is out of date, it is called "tomorrow's ylang-ylang"; another example is Li Qingzhao's self-pity, "The curtain is rolled up by the west wind, and I am thinner than the ylang-ylang"; and there is also criticism or ridicule of people who are late, which is called "the ylang-ylang is cold." But does anyone know that goldenrod is also a Chinese medicinal material? In fact, in traditional Chinese medicine, there are several medicinal materials that contain the word "golden flower". At least daylily is also called daylily, and there is also goldenrod. These are all Chinese medicinal materials with good medicinal value.

Solidago is a perennial herb of the genus Solidago in the Asteraceae family. It grows mostly on hillsides, on the edges of broad-leaved forests, under forests, on roadsides and in grass. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Solidago striata tastes pungent and bitter, and is cool in nature; it enters the lung and liver meridians; it has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, and dispersing wind-heat; it is suitable for throat numbness, sore throat, sore throat, wind-heat cold, etc.; the general dosage is 9 to 15g.

Goldenrod is widely used in clinical practice. For example, for colds, sore throats, tonsillitis and other symptoms, you can use 9 to 30 grams of Goldenrod and decoct it in water. For common cough or whooping cough, you can use 15 grams each of Solidago asiatica, Great Lung Meridian Herb, and Radix Lycopodii, and 6 grams of earthworm, and decoct them in water for oral administration.

Goldenrod has an inhibitory effect on inflammation. For example, for mastitis, you can use 15 grams each of Goldenrod and Amaranthus, 30 grams of fresh Cyperus rotundus, and 7 shallots, mash them and apply them externally. For example, for pelvic inflammatory disease, you can use 30 grams each of Goldenrod, Bletilla striata, and Oldenlandia diffusa, and 15 grams of Guanzhong, decocted in water; for example, for nephritis, you can use 30 grams of Goldenrod, 12 grams of Akebia, and 15 grams of Humulus japonicus, decocted in water, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and take it. In addition, mash the Goldenrod, stir-fry with wine, and apply it to the navel once a day.

Goldenrod can not only be taken orally, but also used externally. It was recorded as early as in "Illustrated Catalogue of Plant Names and Realities" that Goldenrod can "wash away swelling and poison". The clinical experience of old Chinese medicine practitioners also shows that the decoction of Goldenrod for external washing has certain effects on diseases such as tinea pedis, onychomycosis, and tinea pedis.

There are also some precautions when using Goldenrod. For example, when decocting, do not decoct it for a long time, because it will make people nauseous; and patients with weak spleen and stomach and loose stools should not use Goldenrod.
