Origin

It was first recorded in "Essentials of the Nature of Raw Medicinal Herbs". It is the whole herb or the whole herb with roots of the Euphorbiaceae plant Leafy urinary vine. It is mainly produced in Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan and other places, and is also distributed in Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.

Harvesting and processing

1. Damp-heat jaundice, diarrhea, stranguria, wind-heat edema

Pearl grass tastes bitter, sweet and cool. The bitterness can drain and descend, the coolness can clear away heat, and the sweetness can strengthen the spleen and replenish the middle, and eliminate dampness and promote diuresis. It enters the liver meridian, clears the liver and gallbladder, removes dampness and reduces jaundice, and is effective for damp-heat.

For diarrhea or bloody stool caused by damp-heat toxicity flowing into the large intestine, as well as tenesmus, it can be used with Coptis chinensis, Costusroot lappa, etc. to dry out dampness, promote qi circulation, regulate the middle and stop diarrhea. When wind-heat evil invades the skin surface, obstructs the lung qi, causes dysfunction of the descending and ascending functions, and causes internal retention of water and dampness, resulting in edema, this product can be used in combination with stone thorn, duckweed, etc.

2. Sores, swellings, snake and dog bites

This product is bitter, sweet and cool in nature, and can clear away heat and detoxify. It can be taken orally and applied externally to treat sores, carbuncles, snake bites or rabid dog bites caused by accumulation of heat and toxins. Or it can be used together with Hedyotis diffusa, Fleabane, etc.

3. Infantile malnutrition

This product is sweet to strengthen the spleen and cool to clear away heat. It can be stewed in water alone to treat malnutrition caused by weak constitution, overeating of fatty and sweet foods, spleen and stomach dysfunction, and food accumulation turning into heat in children.

4. Red and swollen eyes

This product enters the Liver Channel, is bitter and cool in nature, relieves fire, clears away heat and improves eyesight. Dosage
