The "sacred objects" from Tibet are actually just myths

The "sacred objects" from Tibet are actually just myths

Tibet is the most beautiful place. Your life will be incomplete without visiting Tibet. I went there twice in a row, and each time I was shocked in a different way. There, I saw true beauty, enjoyed what nature is, and experienced the power of faith. Today let’s talk about a traditional Chinese medicine produced there. It is easy to get it with a lot of money, but saffron is hard to find.

Saffron is a precious Chinese medicine. It tastes sweet and is mild in nature. It can promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, relieve depression and relieve pain. It is used to treat depression, chest tightness, vomiting blood, typhoid fever, fright and confusion, amenorrhea, blood stasis and irregular menstruation, postpartum lochia, pain caused by blood stasis, measles, and injuries from falls. It is used as a sedative and carminative abroad. Promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, cool blood and detoxify, relieve depression and calm the mind. Warm poison causes rashes, depression, fullness of stomach, palpitations and madness.

In clinical practice, there are two things called saffron. One is safflower, which is very cheap, and the other is saffron, which is super expensive. Generally speaking, you can buy one gram of saffron at a pharmacy for 100 yuan, but there is no guarantee that it is good saffron. The price of top-quality saffron is difficult to estimate and is much more expensive than gold.

Tibet is not the origin of saffron. Even now, Tibet's saffron is imported from Iran and other places. Saffron is very expensive. Firstly, the demand exceeds the supply. Secondly, it is a religious item and has been deified.

Saffron is an indispensable and precious item in Tibetan Buddhist worship. Buddhism is the religion that places the most emphasis on etiquette. In Tibetan Buddhism, saffron is often used to worship Buddha. Believers use saffron to offer relics to increase their value. They also put saffron in the eight offerings water to worship Bodhisattvas. The nectar water used for initiation in Tibetan Buddhism is made with saffron as the main ingredient. Tibetan Buddhists put saffron into water, then rub the golden water soaked with saffron on scriptures and mantras, roll them up, and use them for Buddha statues, prayer wheels, and stupas in Tibet; some Tibetan areas have saffron decorations in the Ga'u boxes.

In Nepal, great monks use saffron to pave the road during ceremonies, and they use the best quality saffron. In this way, it is not only used in traditional Chinese medicine, but also a kind of belief, so it is very expensive.

Some patients would ask me to prescribe some saffron, and I would tell them that there are many medicinal herbs with similar effects and there is no need to buy such an expensive one. Many people will listen to my advice, and some rich people will insist on buying it. In fact, saffron can be replaced by ordinary safflower or other medicines.
