What are the effects and functions of Chinese herbal medicine parasitism

Of course, parasites can be used as medicine in traditional Chinese medicine. If used correctly, they can be more effective in helping us treat and solve some existing diseases in our body. Nowadays, Chinese medicinal parasites are also used to help us lower blood pressure, treat hypertension and hyperlipidemia, because they have a good effect of lowering blood lipids, diuresis and antibacterial. Therefore, the health care value of Chinese medicinal parasites is very high.

Mistletoe is a commonly used Chinese medicine. "Shennong's Herbal Classic" lists it as a top-grade product. Its original name is Mulberry Parasite. In addition to mistletoe, "Compendium of Materia Medica" also added willow parasite. The current products are divided into two categories: broad parasites and mistletoe.

Main ingredients: Lavandula angustifolia contains blood pressure lowering and cardiotonic ingredients, which have been separated out as lavandula glycosides (i.e., quercetin) and quercetin. The latter produces quercetin and gum arabic after hydrolysis.

Viscum album contains oleanolic acid and flavonoid compounds, viscum glycosides.

Pharmacological action: 1. Antihypertensive; the extract has the effect of lowering blood pressure, and the point of action is on the internal receptors, causing antihypertensive reflex, or due to the inhibition of the vasomotor center of the medulla oblongata or spinal cord. But the effect is short-lived and not lasting.

2. Cholesterol lowering: Preliminary results of clinical trials show that it seems to have a certain effect on lowering serum cholesterol.

3. Diuretic: The effect is quite significant, and the active ingredient is glabradine.

4. Antibacterial: The in vivo test shows that it can inhibit the growth of Salmonella typhi and Staphylococcus aureus.

5. Antiviral: Its decoction has a significant inhibitory effect on polio virus types I, II, III and Sackie (possibly by direct inactivation). Its inhibitory effect is more obvious when used together with Epimedium. In addition, mistletoe has a significant inhibitory effect on ECHO and coxackie viruses, and can resist influenza viruses.

I believe that after understanding the above content, everyone should have a more scientific understanding of the efficacy and value of Chinese medicine parasites. When we usually have some problems with high blood lipids, blood pressure, and high cholesterol, we can reasonably use these Chinese medicines for treatment and conditioning. Compared with the use of Western medicine, we can avoid the occurrence of side effects.
