What are the effects and functions of Tibetan Fritillaria? I believe that many people don’t know the effects of Tibetan Fritillaria at all. Tibetan Fritillaria is also a kind of Fritillaria, but this Tibetan Fritillaria comes from Tibet. Fritillaria has the effect of relieving cough and reducing phlegm. If it is Tibetan Fritillaria, I believe it will bring more benefits to the body. When you cough, use Fritillaria to boil pear water, which will have a better effect on relieving cough. So what are the effects and functions of Tibetan Fritillaria?

1. Fritillaria family Fritillaria is a precious medicinal material and can be called the treasure of medicine. The Fritillaria "family" can be divided into three categories according to their origin and variety: Sichuan Fritillaria, Zhejiang Fritillaria and Native Fritillaria. Fritillaria cirrhosa is the underground bulb of the perennial herbaceous plants of the Liliaceae family, including Fritillaria wuhuaensis, Fritillaria cirrhosa, Fritillaria rossi, Fritillaria gansuensis, and Fritillaria lingnansi. It is named after Sichuan, where it is mainly produced, but it is also produced in Tibet, Gansu, Xinjiang, North China and Northeast China.

Fritillaria cirrhosa is slightly cold in nature and sweet and bitter in taste. It enters the heart and lung meridians, and has the functions of moistening the lungs, relieving cough, and resolving phlegm. Clinically, it is often used in combination with Adenophora radix, Ophiopogon japonicus, Asparagus cochinchinensis, mulberry leaves, chrysanthemum, etc. for the treatment of hot phlegm, dry phlegm, cough due to lung deficiency, chronic cough, little phlegm and dry throat, blood in phlegm, as well as heart and chest depression, pulmonary emphysema, and lung abscess. However, it should not be used for those with cold phlegm or wet phlegm. Modern pharmacological research has confirmed that Fritillaria cirrhosa contains a variety of biological alkaloids such as Fritillaria cirrhosa, which has multiple pharmacological effects such as lowering blood pressure and stimulating the uterus. Fritillaria thunbergii is the underground bulb of Fritillaria thunbergii, a perennial herb of the Liliaceae family.

It is named after Zhejiang Province where it is mainly produced, so it is abbreviated as Zhejiang Fritillary Bulb. Because it is native to Xiangshan, Zhejiang, it is also called elephant fritillary, or elephant fritillary for short. Because its appearance is larger than that of Sichuan Fritillaria, it is also called Big Fritillaria, or Big Fritillaria for short. It is currently also produced in Jiangsu, Anhui, Hunan and other places. Zhejiang Fritillary is bitter and cold in nature. It enters the heart and lung meridians, and has the functions of clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, dispersing stagnation and detoxifying. Clinically, it is often used in combination with Yuanshen, oyster, dandelion, Radix Trichosanthis, Fructus Forsythiae, Coix seeds, Houttuynia cordata, fresh rhizome of reed, herba prunellae, seaweed, kelp, and Curcuma zedoaria to treat cough caused by phlegm-heat in the lungs, as well as swelling and pain caused by carbuncles, scrofula that has not yet ulcerated; it can be used in combination with cuttlefish bone, calcined Corrugated Paper, Bletilla striata, Coptis chinensis, Evodia rutaecarpa, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, and Rhizoma Pinelliae to treat stomachache, acid reflux, and heartburn.

The effects and functions of Tibetan Fritillaria are what we introduced above. If you know the benefits of Tibetan Fritillaria, you can make full use of its effects in your daily life. However, this is a famous product of Tibet, so you must identify the brand when purchasing it.
