Modern medicine has further proven that loquat is rich in vitamin B17, amygdalin, resorbitol and other anti-cancer substances.

The organic acids contained in loquat can stimulate the secretion of digestive glands, and have a significant effect on increasing appetite, helping digestion and absorption, and quenching thirst and relieving heat; loquat contains amygdalin, which can moisten the lungs, relieve cough, and eliminate phlegm, and treat various coughs; loquat fruits and leaves have the effect of inhibiting influenza virus, and eating them often can prevent colds in all seasons; loquat leaves can be dried and made into tea, which has the effect of relieving heat and lowering qi, harmonizing the stomach and relieving reverse flow. Medicinal value of loquat

Dietary selection:

3. To treat hiccups and loss of appetite caused by stomach cancer: 20 grams of loquat leaves, 25 grams of tangerine peel, 15 grams of roasted licorice, and 3 slices of ginger. Boil in water and take twice a day.

4. To treat vomiting, coughing and spontaneous sweating caused by lung metastasis of gastric cancer: several fresh loquat leaves and 250 grams of glutinous rice. Soak the glutinous rice in clean water overnight, remove the fuzz from the fresh loquat leaves, wash them and wrap them in rice dumplings, which can be eaten after being steamed. Take 1-2 times a day for 3-4 days.

5. Boil 60 grams of loquat leaves (brush off the hair) in water and take it twice to treat cough, jaundice, and prevent and treat influenza.

6. Boil 60 grams of loquat root in water and drink it to treat diabetes.

7. Boil 120 grams of loquat root in water and add appropriate amount of brown sugar. Take it warm once a day for four consecutive days to treat jaundice.
