Sophora beans are a kind of traditional Chinese medicine. You can usually see sophora beans growing on sophora trees in spring and autumn. We all remember that sophora flowers are edible when we were young, and sophora beans can also be used. Nowadays, Chinese medicine has also added sophora beans to traditional Chinese medicine. Sophora beans themselves are rich in amino acids, proteins, and various elements that are good for the heart and nourish the liver and kidneys. In addition to these, what are the medicinal values of sophora beans? (1) Japanese pagoda tree: The seeds of an ornamental tree (Sophora japonica) of China and Japan having dark green compound leaves and panicles of yellowish-white flowers. Leguminosae plants are highly favored as foods due to their rich nutrition, and locust beans have been paid attention to by food experts and scholars of all generations for their rich connotations. They are listed as top-grade products and have the reputation of "aristocrat among beans". The reason why locust beans are valuable is that they are the fleshy fruit of the leguminous trees; they are valuable because they are a purely natural, non-toxic and pollution-free green food resource; and they are even more valuable because they are rich in nutrients and have profound connotations. According to modern scientific measurements, sophora beans contain a variety of nutrients, such as flavonoids and isoflavone compounds, sophora glycosides, sophora biglycosides, quercetin, kaempferol, rutin, sophora flavonoids and triterpenoid compounds, and 15 kinds of amino acids, 7 of which are essential for the human body, including lysine, methionine, valine, leucine, phenylalanine, isoleucine and threonine. In addition, sophora beans also contain phospholipids, vegetable oils, rutin, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, collagen and other trace elements. Its medicinal functions can strengthen myocardial contractility, protect against red blood cell auto-oxidation and hemolytic damage, lower serum cholesterol, reduce the fragility of the capillary front wall, regulate capillary permeability, and improve body and brain health. Li Shizhen wrote in Compendium of Materia Medica: "Sophora japonica seeds have a bitter taste and are non-toxic. Long-term consumption can improve eyesight, replenish qi, make the brain full, prevent hair from turning white, and prolong life. The fruit of locust bean is brown-red and has a coffee-like aroma, but it does not contain caffeine. According to research, locust bean can adjust blood fat, lower blood pressure, and help lose weight. It is especially effective in promoting natural cleansing of the body's systems. It is rich in protein, flavonoids, triterpenoid, saponin, vitamins B1, B2, C and amino acids. The book "Drug Summary" says that locust beans have the effect of improving eyesight and hair quality. Sophora bean is rich in oleic acid (22.3%), linoleic acid (53%) and linolenic acid (12%). In a study of 24 patients with high blood pressure or high blood lipids, scientists found that after drinking locust bean tea for 1-2 months, 83.9% of the patients experienced improvements in high blood pressure and blood lipids. However, they also found that locust beans did not lower blood pressure in normal people. Sophora beans themselves can have corresponding therapeutic effects on various diseases because they are rich in protein, lower blood pressure, regulate fat, and are suitable for people with hyperlipidemia or the elderly, whose metabolism slows down with age. By using the bad ways to maximize the nutritional value of sophora beans, it can have a good effect on improving the body's immunity and protecting the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems. |
