Medical treatment for persistent bleeding: take a handful of Gentiana scabra. Cut it, boil it with five liters of water and take out two and a half liters. Divide it into five doses. For the treatment of night sweats after typhoid fever, or all kinds of night sweats in women and children, this medicine is suitable: roast and dry any amount of gentian, grind it into fine powder, take one large coin of it each time, add three liang of pig bile, and add a little warm wine, mix well, take on an empty stomach before going to bed. Treats itching or rupture of the kidney sac, with water discharge, also known as hydrangea wind: bitter gentian, frosted peach leaves, beehive, Veratrum, and thousand sheets of paper. Grind into fine powder and apply with sesame oil.
