Can Traditional Chinese Medicine cure thyroid nodules?

The treatment effect of thyroid nodules in Western medicine is not particularly ideal. Thyroid nodules have a great impact on patients and sometimes even affect patients' daily diet. There are many causes of thyroid nodules. Some causes of thyroid nodules cannot be cured in Western medicine. Some people want to use traditional Chinese medicine to treat them. Let's take a look at the effect of traditional Chinese medicine in treating thyroid nodules.

Thyroid nodules refer to lumps inside the thyroid gland that can move up and down with the thyroid gland with swallowing. It is a common clinical disease and can be caused by a variety of causes. There are many thyroid diseases clinically, such as thyroid degeneration, inflammation, autoimmunity and neoplasms, which can manifest as nodules. Thyroid nodules can be single or multiple. The incidence of multiple nodules is higher than that of single nodules, but the incidence of thyroid cancer in single nodules is higher.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is closely related to meridian stasis. "Goiter" special Chinese medicine + meridian treatment: Chinese medicine acupuncture quadruple therapy (acupuncture on the neck, head, abdomen, and limbs) dredges the meridians, stimulate meridian qi, and promote the balance of yin and yang and the circulation of qi and blood.

Among the twelve meridians, except the hand Jueyin pericardium meridian and the foot Taiyang bladder meridian, the rest of the meridians either directly reach the thyroid gland or pass by the thyroid gland. As for the extraordinary meridians such as the Du Meridian, the Ren Meridian, and the Chong Meridian, they also run through the thyroid gland. Thyroid nodules are classified as "Qi stagnation, blood stasis and phlegm accumulation" in traditional Chinese medicine. It can be said that if the meridians throughout the body are unobstructed and the Qi and blood are harmonious, the nodules will gradually become smaller or even disappear.

Acupuncture treats the meridians, combined with Chinese medicine to treat the internal organs. Through the Chinese medicine methods of observation, auscultation, questioning and palpation, syndrome differentiation and treatment are carried out to treat the disease at its root, fundamentally regulating the internal organs, balancing yin and yang, and eliminating phlegm and goiter. For those with qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction, the treatment is to regulate qi and relieve depression, resolve phlegm and eliminate goiter; for those with phlegm accumulation and blood stasis, the treatment is to regulate qi and activate blood circulation, resolve phlegm and eliminate goiter; for those with excessive liver fire, the treatment is to clear the liver and relieve fire, eliminate goiter and disperse the knot; for those with heart and liver yin deficiency, the treatment is to nourish yin and reduce fire, calm the heart and soften the liver, etc. Patients with thyroid disease who have been treated with traditional Chinese medicine not only have their thyroid disease cured, but their entire mental outlook has become more refreshed and energetic than before treatment.

In traditional Chinese medicine, thyroid nodules are generally treated with acupuncture, which is then supplemented with some Chinese herbal medicines for conditioning. The effect is quite good in the long run. Patients can adopt a combination of Chinese and Western medicine during treatment, which will make the treatment more effective. They can also adopt diet therapy and eat less dishes with high salt content.
