Medicinal material source: The tuber of the orchid plant Smilax glabra.

Fall money plant, perennial herb, 12-33cm tall. The tuber is oblong or oval, fleshy, 1-2cm long. There are 2 leaves, nearly opposite near the base, green, round or oval, 2.5-5cm long, 2-4.5cm wide, with acute tip. The scape is cylindrical and covered with papillate pubescence; the raceme has several densely packed flowers; the flowers are small, green or yellow; the bracts are ovate-lanceolate, shorter than or equal to the ovary; the middle sepal is ovate, erect, boat-shaped, about 3mm long, and the lateral sepals are reflexed, ovate-oblong, about 3.5mm long; the petals are ligulate-lanceolate, erect, the same length as the middle sepal, but narrower, and close to the middle sepal to form a hood; the lip is 3-lobed, the lobes are linear, the outer lobe is reflexed backwards, about 9mm long, longer and narrower than the middle lobe; the spur is drooping, thin and cylindrical, slightly swollen near the end, obtuse, and curved forward; the stigma has 2 protuberances; the ovary is fusiform, twisted, covered with papillate pubescence, and the length including the pedicel is 9-10mm.
