Will eating too much sugar make you age faster? 3 tips to avoid the harm of "high sugar"!

This is not an exaggeration. Don't you believe it? Then let me tell you why.

Sugar is a very important substance in the human body and is the main source of energy . The rice, potatoes, noodles, etc. that we usually eat are digested and absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract and converted into sugar in the human body. The ATP produced is converted into energy, so that we can study and work energetically.

However, eating too much sugar is not good either . Young cells are the basis of young skin. Damage to cell structure and function can cause aging of cells and even skin. Too much sugar will oxidize in the body, turning the internal environment into a neutral or weakly acidic state, damaging blood vessels, producing too many oxygen free radicals, and damaging lipid substances on the cell membrane. In addition, the body lacks antioxidant substances, which cannot fight free radicals or protect lipid substances, thus causing oxidative damage to the cell membrane , accelerating cell aging , and even death , leading to human aging .

Excessive intake of sugar will accelerate the process of cell mitosis, causing the skin to appear loose and aged , thereby accelerating skin aging .

In addition, excessive intake of sugar will combine with glucose molecules and collagen in the human body to form advanced glycation end products, which will cause the loss of collagen in the human skin and bones, resulting in osteoporosis in the elderly , reduced skin elasticity , increased wrinkles, and rapid aging .

Experiments have shown that if a person weighing 70 kg consumes about 60 grams of fructose or drinks 1 liter of cola every day for a year, he will show obvious signs of aging.

The main characteristics of skin cell aging and death are dry skin, wrinkles, rashes and acne on the skin, etc. It is worth noting that the oxidative damage to the skin caused by eating too much sugar leads to accelerated aging, which is not significantly effective by applying skin care products , no matter how expensive the skin care products are.

In addition, excessive sugar intake can easily lead to fat accumulation, induce diabetes, and even increase the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure, so it is recommended that individuals do not eat too much sugar in their daily lives .

So how do we stay away from the harm caused by high sugar?

Ensure regularity of three meals a day

Don't go on an excessive diet to lose weight. When people are too hungry, they tend to prefer high-sugar and high-calorie foods, especially pastries and chocolate, which lead to excessive sugar intake and endocrine disorders.

Supplement adequate protein

If you feel very hungry, you can choose foods containing high-quality protein, such as boiled eggs, skim or low-fat milk, chicken breast or shrimp, etc., which can not only fill your stomach but also reduce your craving for sugar.

Beware of hidden sugar

The sugar content in foods such as puffed foods, sesame paste and instant coffee is far beyond people's imagination, so they should be chosen with caution.

Sweets are good, but we should eat less of them. In our daily life, we should pay attention to eating a light diet , eat more vegetables with high water content and relatively low calories , such as broccoli, chrysanthemum, celery and spinach, and take appropriate amounts of vitamin C and vitamin E, which are antioxidants that can help fight free radicals and provide nutrition for the skin, thereby effectively slowing down the appearance of wrinkles and aging of the skin .
