How often should you eat hot pot to be healthier? The key is to pay attention to these 5 points!

As the weather gets colder, many people choose to eat hot pot, right? Hot pot has a wide variety of ingredients, and the taste is fresh, spicy, and addictive. Moreover, hot pot is almost the simplest way to make food. Wash the ingredients, make your own soup base, plug in the power... wait for the "gurgling" and it's time to eat!

Generally, people think that hot pot is nourishing and warming, but some people have found through experiments that if hot pot is cooked for a long time, not only will the nutrients of the ingredients be lost, but the soup will also easily produce nitrites that are harmful to the human body. So hot pot is delicious, but you also have to be careful of "toxicity"! So the question is: What are the taboos of eating hot pot?

01

Comment: Recently, an old lady was hospitalized for gastrointestinal ulcers caused by eating hot pot too hastily. The human oral cavity, esophagus and gastric mucosa can generally only withstand a high temperature of 50°C. If too hot food enters the mouth, it will damage the mucosa. The temperature of hot pot soup can be as high as 120°C. If the food is taken out and eaten immediately, it is very easy to burn the oral cavity, tongue, esophagus and gastric mucosa. Some people who already have recurrent oral ulcers are prone to getting angry after eating hot pot. The probability of their oral ulcers will be several times higher, or the original oral mucosal inflammation will become more severe. Repeatedly, it may also induce esophageal cancer. The most dangerous are those who suffer from precancerous lesions such as oral mucosal leukoplakia or lichen planus. The high temperature of hot pot and the stimulation of seasonings will accelerate the progression of the disease.

02

Comment: In addition to causing indigestion, eating this way is even more frightening because bacteria and parasite eggs hidden in food can enter the gastrointestinal tract with food, leading to the occurrence of diseases. According to research, three serious parasitic diseases - trichinosis, tapeworms and cysticercosis - can all be spread through hot pot. Unclean pork and beef slices are likely to contain these three parasites. At present, although it is not certain whether mutton contains trichinella, tapeworms and cysticercosis, there have been reports that eating shabu-shabu mutton can cause trichinosis. If you have a parasitic disease, you will feel fatigue, muscle aches, and swelling, and sometimes you will feel a tingling sensation when you step on the ground.

Comments: Hot pot soups are mostly made with high-fat foods such as pork, lamb, and butter, and are often seasoned with chili peppers, pepper, and Sichuan peppercorns. Eating too much can easily lead to hyperlipidemia, cholelithiasis, duodenal ulcers, oral ulcers, gingivitis, hemorrhoids, and other diseases. In addition, if the hot pot soup is boiled for a long time and not changed for a long time, some chemical reactions will occur in the ingredients, producing harmful substances. For example, porphyrin substances contained in meat and seafood are mostly soluble in the soup. The high concentration of porphyrin in the soup is metabolized by the liver and may cause gout, and in severe cases, it will damage kidney function. So, don't drink hot pot soup! Even if it is homemade hot pot soup, after repeatedly washing the ingredients, there are many impurities in it, which is not healthy.

04

Comments: After eating hot food, the gastrointestinal system expands, and then drinking a lot of cold drinks immediately, the originally warm stomach is suddenly stimulated by cold, which is easy to cause a series of adverse reactions. At this time, the blood vessels will contract rapidly, and the secretion of gastric juice will change, which is not only bad for digestion, but may even cause high blood pressure, dizziness, nausea and other symptoms. The alternation of hot and cold is extremely harmful to the gastric mucosa and can easily cause gastrointestinal diseases. The alternation of hot and cold puts the stomach under a double test in a short period of time, it would be strange if it is not uncomfortable.

05

Comment: If you keep eating, the secretion of digestive juices such as gastric juice, bile, and pancreatic juice cannot stop. If this process lasts for several hours and the glands cannot get a normal rest, it may cause gastrointestinal dysfunction and abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. In severe cases, you may suffer from chronic gastroenteritis, pancreatitis and other diseases. Another manifestation is that you eat too long and too much, and you will suffer from insomnia at night. Moreover, the longer the food in the hot pot is cooked, the lower the nutritional value. Even at the end, what you eat may be junk food with no nutritional value, which may even endanger your health.
