This year's 618 is considered to be the "most competitive in history", and the competition among major e-commerce platforms is extremely fierce.

In terms of data, none of the platforms announced their sales performance during the 618 shopping festival this year. Although the total sales volume across the entire network reached 798.7 billion yuan, a new high, the growth rate dropped to the lowest level in the past three years.

According to media reports, this year's 618 mid-year promotion festival has come to an end, and all platforms have not announced this year's official sales data.

Specifically, several major e-commerce platforms, including JD.com, Taobao Tmall, Suning.com and Pinduoduo, did not announce their respective 618 total sales, but only provided a text summary or partial sales situation.

For example, JD.com only released a report card summary of "growth rate exceeded expectations and set a new record". Taobao Tmall, Suning.com and Pinduoduo also only announced the latest data on some transaction amounts and order volumes.

According to Star Chart data, the total transaction volume of goods on the Internet during the 618 shopping festival this year reached 798.7 billion yuan, a record high in the past six years, 102.8 billion yuan more than last year, and 480.625 billion yuan more than 2019. However, the growth rate of the total transaction volume has slowed down for three consecutive years, with a year-on-year growth of only 14.77% this year, the lowest point in the past three years.

Of course, judging from the sales situation, there are still some bright spots in the "618 performance" of various platforms this year. For example, on the JD platform, nearly 50% of small and medium-sized merchants saw their 618 transaction volume increase by more than 200%.

According to statistics, JD.com's 618 sales have continued to rise since 2019, reaching 379.3 billion yuan in 2022. However, the overall growth rate of the platform has declined. Last year, JD.com's 618 sales increased by 10.33% year-on-year, reaching the lowest growth rate since 2018.
