The study also found that the total number of movie ticket group purchases in the first four months exceeded 35 million, accounting for 18% of the total number of moviegoers. Among them, the number of group purchases in April was 11.54 million, accounting for more than 20% of the total number of moviegoers. The average price of movie ticket group purchases is 30 yuan per ticket, which is 14% cheaper than the overall market average price.

The popularity of the group buying market has made it one of the important channels for film marketing, and the group buying consumption model is predictable. It is worth noting that Chengdu's total box office was about 230 million, lower than Guangzhou's 281 million and Shenzhen's 284 million, but the total amount of group purchases ranked third in the country, with a transaction amount of 52.5 million accounting for 23% of the total box office, which is higher than the average penetration rate of 20% of movie ticket group purchases in the top 10 cities. It can be found that Chengdu's movie ticket group purchase business has a high level of development, and group purchases of movie tickets have become one of the main channels for local movie fans to buy tickets.

Through the penetration rate of movie ticket group purchase, we can find that the penetration rate in Tianjin, Xi'an, Shenyang and Suzhou is very high, among which Tianjin reaches 36%, while its total box office value from January to April is only 103 million, not among the top ten in the country.
