CNNIC: The era of frequent online shopping has arrived, and online consumption has profoundly affected offline consumption

According to CNNIC's "2012 China Online Shopping Market Research Report", in 2012, the average annual online shopping consumption of online shoppers in my country reached 5,203 yuan, an increase of 1,302 yuan or 25% compared with 2011. At the same time, the frequency of online shopping has increased significantly, with the average number of online shopping times reaching 18 times in half a year, an increase of 3.5 times compared with 2011. Among them, the proportion of users who shopped online more than 10 times in half a year increased by 23.8 percentage points to 54.5%. Overall, the amount and frequency of user consumption have increased significantly, entering a stage of frequent online shopping.

While online shopping is driving user consumption, it is also transforming and influencing users' offline consumption behavior.

First, users do reduce the frequency of going out shopping through online shopping. The survey shows that 65% of users said that they reduced the frequency of going out shopping through online shopping, while 33% of users said that the frequency of going out shopping has basically not decreased or increased.

The second is that it reduces daily shopping expenses. 55% of users said that by shopping online, they have indeed saved daily shopping expenses, including transportation costs and product prices.

Users have good expectations for online shopping in the future, and the reshaping of consumer behavior will be further deepened. 34.7% and 20.7% of online shoppers said they might or definitely increase online shopping in the future, only 5.9% would reduce online shopping, and 29.4% said it would remain relatively the same.
