According to eDigitalResearch, the travel industry has emerged as the top performing sector in the latest App Benchmark study. According to a study of more than 70 apps across eight different industries, consumers are 83% satisfied with apps for searching and planning travel, on average. The satisfaction rating was based on functionality, product information and overall experience, with hotel apps and flight apps scoring 81% and 75% respectively. The National Trust app received the highest satisfaction rating in the travel industry (89.5%), booking.com became the most popular app in the hotel industry (87%), and the Lufthansa app topped the list in the aviation app category (81%). Among them, satisfaction levels between 80%-89.9% are considered good, while satisfaction levels between 70%-79.9% are average. The travel search and planning app is simple to operate and the navigation is easy to understand. Additional research findings indicate consumer usage trends: Expect to get more product information through the app and at least be able to access the brand's website. The app not only reflects the website content, but also makes the information easy to read and digest. I want to be able to check in or make reservations, etc., in the same way as the company website. |
