[Source] It is the whole herb of Elsholtzia ciliata, a plant of the Lamiaceae family. Autumn collection. Dry in the shade.

[Original form] An upright shrub, 0.5 to 1.5 meters high. The stem is gray-brown with irregular cracks on the outer bark, multi-branched, with branches ascending, and the branches are yellow-brown with fine stripes and pink-white short hairs. Simple leaves are opposite; with long petioles; elliptical or diamond-shaped elliptical, 1-3 cm long, 0.6-2 cm wide, with acute apex and broad cuneate base, green with wrinkles above, white-green below, densely covered with flat white short soft hairs. The flowers are lavender or white, small, and densely arranged in terminal pseudospikes. The nutlets are oval and no longer than 1 mm. Flowering period is summer.

[Habitat distribution] It grows in wasteland, sunny slopes near villages and under forests. Distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi and other places.
