【Original form】Biennial herb. The whole plant is densely covered with white fine hairs. The hairy roots are slender and white. The leaves are basal, with petioles 2-4cm long; the leaf blades are ovate to oblong, 1-3.5cm long, 0.5-2.5cm wide, with rounded or blunt tips, base cordate, and irregularly serrated edges. They are sparsely covered with multicellular soft hairs on the upper side, and small spherical glands are scattered on the lower side, mainly along the veins. Several scapes emerge from the leaf clusters, 10-25cm high, ciliated; with one whorl of umbels, rarely two whorls, each with 4-8 flowers; bracts linear, 3mm long, more or less powdered; pedicels erect, 6-20mm long, up to 30mm long when fruiting, with small glands; calyx campanulate, 3-4.5mm long, covered with white powder, 5-lobed, split nearly to the middle, lobes triangular, apex acute; corolla cup-shaped high-footed saucer-shaped, light red, corolla tube 4.5-5.5mm long, only slightly longer than calyx, corolla brim about 1cm in diameter, 5-lobed, lobes flat, obcordate, with deep notch at the apex; long-style flowers: stamens are attached about 1.5mm from the base of the corolla tube, style about 3mm long, only slightly higher than the calyx; short-style flowers: stamens are attached about 3mm from the base of the corolla tube, and the stamens are about 1mm long. Capsule spherical, about 3mm in diameter, shorter than persistent calyx. Flowering period is February to March.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in wet grasslands, field ridges, field edges and ditch edges at an altitude of 1500-2000m.
