[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Pueraria lobata, a plant of the Urticaceae family.

[Original form] Perennial herb or subshrub, 40-200cm long. The stems are often ground-covering, much-branched, with terminal branches often numerous, alternate, and 20-10 cm long. The leaves at the bottom of the stem are opposite, the leaves at the top are alternate, and the leaves on the branches are usually all alternate or opposite at the bottom; the leaf shape varies greatly and is ovate. Narrowly ovate to lanceolate, with short acuminate apex, rounded base, entire margin, sparsely procumbent hairs on both sides, and a pair of lateral veins. The cymes are axillary, usually bisexual, with triangular bracts. The male flowers have short stalks, 4 tepals, and 4 stamens. The female flowers have elliptical tepals with 2 small teeth at the apex, densely covered with soft hairs on the outside, and are rhombus-ovate in fruit, with a stigma 1-2mm long. Achenes ovate, shiny, with longitudinal lines and narrow wings.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in grasslands, field edges, hills or sparse shrub forests in low mountains at an altitude of about 500m.

【Nature and flavor】 sweet; bitter; cool

【Functions and indications】Detoxification and swelling reduction; bone setting. Mainly used for carbuncle, syphilis, tuberculosis and fracture

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoction, 10-15g, fresh product 15-30g. For external use: take appropriate amount and mash fresh product for application.
