[Clinical application] Treatment of venomous snake bites: use 2 liang of stems and leaves of Snakehead microphylla and 5 qian of Bamboo shoots, soak them in 5 liang of rice wine (or Sanhua wine), and it can be taken after about 3 weeks. The initial dose is 50-100 ml, then 3-4 times a day, 25-50 ml each time, for 3-4 days. Or use 5 parts of this product and 2 parts of Rhizoma Draconis to make extract tablets, 0.3 grams each tablet, 10 to 15 tablets for the first time, and then 3 to 4 times a day, 5 to 8 tablets each time, for 3 to 4 days. Medicinal wine and tablets can also be used externally and applied to wounds. 126 cases were treated, 122 recovered, and 4 died. Among the fatal cases, three were bitten by the Bungarus cobra and died within 3 to 5 hours after being bitten despite ineffective rescue efforts. Another case involved a pregnant woman bitten by a bee snake, who went into premature labor and had continuous bleeding within 3 hours, and died of hemorrhagic shock and acute renal failure. Some patients vomited after taking the medicine, but no other adverse reactions were observed.
