[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Pteris chinensis, a plant of the Polypodiaceae family.

【Original morphology】 Plant height 30-40cm. The rhizome is horizontal, covered with gray-brown, ovate-lanceolate scales, gradually pointed at the tip and long-tailed, with a rounded shield-shaped base and transparent sieve pores. Leaves are distal; nearly dimorphic; petiole of nutrient leaf is 8-20cm long, light straw color, with erect scales at base; leaf blade is lanceolate, simple, thick papery, light green, 15-25cm long or slightly longer, 3.5-5cm wide, gradually pointed at apex, base rounded cuneate and extending down to the top of petiole, leaf margin is shallowly wavy, curled and has membranous edge; midrib is raised on both sides, lateral veins are slender and tortuous, and veinlets are visible on both sides; petiole of spore leaf is longer, its leaf blade is slightly narrower, and leaf margin is more wavy. The sori are linear, obliquely upward, continuous, slightly tortuous, rusty yellow, from the midrib to the leaf margin.
