[Original form] Brown and yellow spider with eggs, perennial herb. The underground stems run horizontally. With obvious nodes and scales, and many fibrous roots. The leaves are basal; with long petioles; the leaf sheaths grow at the base of the leaves, are of unequal length, purple-brown, and crack into fibers after withering. The leaf blades are leathery, elliptical and needle-shaped, with acuminate apex, cuneate base, entire margin, and obvious straight veins. The flowers are solitary and close to the ground, often difficult to see.
