[Source] It is the branches and leaves of Viscum album, a plant of the Morinaceae family. Available all year round. Cut short and dry.

【Original form】 Parasitic shrub. The branches are cylindrical, bifurcated or opposite, gray-brown when dry, with fine longitudinal lines, and enlarged nodes. Leaves are opposite, obovate or oblong, 3-8.5 cm long, 1-3 cm wide, rounded at the apex, gradually narrowed at the base, with 3 or 5 veins; petiole is short or absent. The inflorescences are axillary, usually in clusters of 1 to 3, with 1 to 3 flowers in each inflorescence; the bracts are short triangular, and each pair is fused to form a boat-shaped cup; the female corolla tube is short cylindrical or elliptical, with 4, rarely 3, short triangular lobes; the male flowers are about half the length of the female flowers, usually flat, and the corolla lobes are the same as those of the female flowers; the stamens have no filaments, and the anthers are attached to the corolla lobes. The berries are nearly spherical or ovoid, about 5 mm long, yellow when ripe, and young and nearly mature fruits have small tubercles, which eventually become smooth. Flowering period is from January to March. The fruiting period is autumn and winter.

[Habitat distribution] It often parasitizes on citrus plants and persimmon trees. Distributed in Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places.
