[Original form] Viburnum pininaceum is a shrub, up to 3m tall. Young branches, buds, petioles, inflorescences and calyx are more or less covered with yellow-brown or light yellow-brown clusters of hairs. Leaves are opposite; petioles are 3-10mm long; leaves are papery or thick papery, leaf blades are elliptical, ovate, ovate to broadly ovate, 3-8cm long, 2-5cm wide, apex acuminate or acute, base broadly cuneate or nearly rounded, with outward-spreading teeth on the margins, dark green above, with sessile transparent tiny glandular dots visible under a magnifying glass, 5-7 lateral veins, extending to the tip of the teeth, concave with the midrib on the upper side of the leaf, and protruding below.
