【Original morphology】 Plant height 40-50cm. The rhizome is erect or obliquely ascending, and together with the base of the petiole, is densely covered with large light brown lanceolate scales, with entire margin. Leaves are clustered; petiole 5-8cm long, dark straw color, densely covered with brown-red, branched lanceolate scales upwards along with the rachis and pinnae; leaf blade herbaceous, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, 35-45cm long, 10-14cm wide in the middle, acuminate and pinnate at the apex, narrowed at the base, bipinnate; pinnae more than 20 pairs, alternate, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate and pinnate at the apex, truncate at the base, once pinnate to deeply lobed; pinnules obliquely upward, entire or with sparse shallow teeth, obtuse at the apex, with coarse serrations, base of pinnules fused to the rachis; veins pinnate, obvious on both sides. The sori are round, dorsally located slightly above the middle of the veinlets, and arranged in a row on each side of the midrib; the sori cap is brown, entire, and persistent.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under mountain forests at an altitude of 800-1600m or on rocks beside shady and wet ditches.
