[Source] Chirita eburnea Hance [C. fauriei Franch.; Didmocarpus eburneus (Hance) Levl.] of the Gesneriaceae family is used as medicine with its root or whole herb . It can be harvested in all seasons.

【Nature and flavor】 Sweet, neutral.

【Functions and indications】 Tonifies deficiency, relieves cough, stops bleeding, and removes dampness. Used for cough due to yin deficiency, hemoptysis due to tuberculosis, menorrhagia and leucorrhea. Used externally to treat bleeding from trauma and carbuncles.

[Usage and Dosage] 1 qian of root, 3-5 qian of whole herb. For external use, mash the whole fresh herb and apply it externally, or grind the whole herb into powder and sprinkle on the affected area.

[Remarks] (1) There is another species of rock cabbage (Cauliflower) in Sichuan, which is of the same genus, Chirita heterotricha Merr., and has similar effects.
