[Original form] 1. Rock squirrel, looks like a squirrel, about 22cm long and weighs 350g. The face has cheek pouches. The eyes are large with a yellow-white ring around them. There is no tuft of hair at the ear tip. The hind limbs are longer than the forelimbs, and the plantars of the hind feet are covered with hair. The tail is more than half as long. The back of the body and the outside of the limbs are covered with green-yellow hair. The hair base is dark grey, the middle is black and the tips are yellow. The ventral surface and inner sides of the limbs are light yellow-gray. Neck slightly white. The color between the eyes and ears is yellower, and there are gray spots on the back of the ears. The muzzle is deep black. The tail hair is sparse and fluffy, mixed with long white hair. The fur is gray in summer and yellowish in winter.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: 1. It lives in mountainous areas with forests and hills with many rocks. Feeds on nuts and plant seeds.

The skeleton has residual flesh and tendons, the head is long and oval, with a pair of orange incisors in the upper and lower jaws, curved limbs, slender coccygeal vertebrae arranged in a whip shape, and sometimes with gray-yellow hair.
