Leaves are opposite; petiole 5-15mm long, with spreading long soft hairs; leaf blade papery, broadly ovate or obovate-oblong, 5-14cm long, 3-7cm wide, with pointed tip and tail 5-15mm long, base cuneate, sparsely long soft hairs on both sides, and ciliate. The flower balls are nearly solitary, or only the central terminal ones have several arranged in short spikes.
