[Original form] Annual herb. The stem is 30 to 80 cm tall, hard and densely covered with white wool. Leaves are alternate; linear, 4-5 cm long, 2.5-7 mm wide, pointed at the apex, entire, semi-amplexicaul at the base, green above, sparsely covered with wool, white below, densely covered with wool; leaves at the bottom of the stem wither during flowering. The inflorescence is terminal and arranged in compound umbels; the bracts are 5-layered, dry and membranous, white or light yellow, with the outer layer shorter and broadly ovate. There are white hairs, the inner layer is long ovate or elliptical, smooth; all flowers are tubular, yellow, and the styles of the surrounding female flowers are equal to the corolla, or slightly longer; the floral tube of the central bisexual flowers is slender, with 5 teeth at the tip; there are 5 stamens, the anthers are connected, the base is arrow-shaped, and the tail fiber is small; there is 1 pistil, the ovary is inferior, and the stigma is 2-lobed. Achenes are oblong with yellowish-white pappus. Flowering period is from September to October.
