【Original morphology】 Plant height 15-22cm. The rhizome grows horizontally, densely covered with transparent diamond-shaped scales that are black in the middle and light brown on the edges, and have teeth on the edges. Leaves are distal; petiole 2-3cm long, straw-colored, sparsely scaly at base, smooth upward; leaf blade thinly leathery, lanceolate, 8-28cm long, 0.5-1.2cm wide, wider below the middle, short acuminate at apex, short decurrent at base, dorsally covered with black scales; midrib prominent on both sides, lateral veins inconspicuous. Sori are round or elliptic, close to each other when mature, dorsal, and arranged in a row near the midrib; septa are round.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing on tree trunks or rocks at the edge of hillside forests at an altitude of 600-2300m.
